COVID Update – 28 November

Two new cases of COVID-19 were detected today.

This brings the total number of cases linked to a country music event held at the Hamilton Golf Club on Sunday November 14, to 36.

The two new cases are household contacts of a positive case who attended the event. 30 local cases are now being monitored through the WDHS Hospital in the Home (HITH) program.

Please note – from Monday, the drive-thru testing clinic will return to Hamilton Base Hospital, 10am to 12pm. It is vital that you get tested if you have symptoms, however mild. The more people we test, the better we can track the spread. A big thank you to everyone who has been tested to date – you are helping keep our community safe.

If you are isolating and need assistance with groceries or other necessities, please call the Helping Hands hotline on 1800 943 131 between the hours of 9am and 4pm, or email helpinghands@wdhs.net
