Western District Health Service is able to provide access to interpreting services if you require them.

A telephone interpreting service may be arranged at the time of your visit and as required, but will be dependent on an appropriate interpreter being available at the time.

On-site interpreting can also be arranged. If possible please contact us well in advance of your appointment /admission so that we may arrange to have an interpreter present.

You may prefer to bring a family member to assist you with interpreting but they must be over 18 years of age. Western District Health Service may still require you to use a qualified interpreter if important decisions regarding your health need to be made or technical information needs to be imparted.

Please identify your need for an interpreter with any of our staff members involved in your care.
