Pulmonary Rehabilitation is an evidence based exercise and education program for people with chronic lung conditions. It has been proven to relieve dyspnea, exercise intolerance, fatigue, improve emotional function and enhance the sense of control that individuals have over their condition. The Peak bodies which we base our content for the Program on are the Australian Lung Foundation, Asthma Australia, Advanced Care Planning Australia and Exercise and Sports Science Australia.

The group is limited to a maximum of 10 participants and has a combination of either Exercise Physiologist, Nurse and Allied Health staff to supervise participants whilst exercising. There are 4 Programs per year for 8 weeks duration of twice weekly sessions, generally on Mondays and Thursdays.
There is no charge for the Program and it is held in the Allied Health Building/Physiotherapy Department of the Hospital on Tyers Street, Hamilton.
