In July, Anna Sweeney was appointed the new Board Chair of Western District Health Service.
A big thank you to previous Chair, Darren Barber, who served on the Board for nine years (two as Chair), and helped steer the organisation through the unprecedented challenges of a ‘once in a lifetime’ pandemic.
Mrs Sweeney has a background in environmental management and international development and has been employed in a number of government and not-for-profit roles throughout her career.
She currently works as an environmental and community engagement consultant and on the family farm near Cavendish, where she and her husband Jarrod have been transitioning to regenerative agriculture over the last four years.
Mrs Sweeney joined the Board in 2018, and will be well supported by Deputy Chair, Western Victoria Primary Health Network (WVPHN) CEO Rowena Clift.
Congratulations Anna, we are thrilled to have you step into the role of Board Chair.
