Elva Lyons is a very special individual.
After 51 years of supporting the patients, teams and services at WDHS, Elva is stepping away from her volunteer duties at the hospital. This impressive commitment makes Elva our longest-serving volunteer.
“Elva has worked predominantly on the hospital comforts trolley and with the Hospital Door Knock Appeal over the years. She loves her hospital and thoroughly enjoys volunteering. She never seeks accolades and quietly goes about her volunteering duties, stopping off for a chat with hospital clients and spreading cheer around the wards.
Elva was made a Life Governor of the hospital in 2011 to acknowledge her loyalty and dedication to WDHS.
We are eternally grateful for your commitment over the past 51 years, Elva. You will be greatly missed!
