PCR VS RAPID ANTIGEN TEST

You may have heard about Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT). The RAT is incredibly useful for people who work in high risk settings (such as aged care and transport workers) who might need to be tested regularly to go about their work. While faster, the RAT is not as accurate. For this reason, you must have a standard PCR test (available at the WDHS drive-thru clinic) if you are a close contact or have Covid symptoms. This is the most reliable tool we have for accurate and early detection. Current testing turnaround time is 24-48 hours.
