Hamilton Base Hospital – Foster Street Reception Upgrade
Hamilton Base Hospital (HBH) is upgrading its front reception area to create a more welcoming environment. During the upgrade works, visitors and staff can expect temporary changes to the reception space accessed via the Foster Street entrance. We apologise for any inconvenience during these works.
The renovations are expected to take approximately 10 -12 weeks and will be completed in two stages, with access to the hospital changing throughout the project.
Stage 1 – From Monday 10 August
Access via the Foster Street main entrance will be available to the reception and Bendigo Radiology area, while works take place in the main hallway. Visitors will be redirected from reception through internal corridors to wards and other hospital areas.
Stage 2 – From Monday 24 August (date subject to change)
Entry will be via the Dorevitch Pathology entrance, located next to Hamilton Medical Group. Please follow the signage on arrival. A temporary reception will be located near this entrance to assist you.
Once inside the hospital, access to the wards, Bendigo Radiology and the Cancer & Dialysis Centre will continue via internal hallways. Please follow the signs.
Drop-off and pick-up for patients by family, friends, and taxi services is available at the Taxi/Bus Rank located at the front of Hamilton Medical Group.
Emergency Department access remains the same.
