Community Support brings comfort to Coleraine Aged Care Residents
Residents at the Coleraine Aged Care Facility are enjoying a new level of comfort thanks to the generosity of local sponsors and the hard work of the Western District Health Service (WDHS) Fundraising Committee.
Funds raised through the 2025 Coleraine Field & Game Charity Shoot enabled the purchase of specialist king single beds and alternating pressure-reducing mattresses for residents. Recently, WDHS Fundraising Committee Chair Vicki Whyte, major sponsor Southern Grampians Livestock & Real Estate, Josh Vickery from Vickery Bros, and the President of the Coleraine Field and Game Club visited the facility to see the new equipment firsthand.
WDHS Executive Director of Aged Care Alison Richmond provided a tour of the facility, showcasing how the new beds will improve comfort, safety, and overall quality of life for residents.
“The generosity of our sponsors and the dedication of our fundraising team have made a real difference for our residents,” said Alison, Executive Director of Aged Care. “It’s wonderful to welcome our supporters into the facility so they can see the impact of their contributions.”
WDHS thanks all sponsors, community members, and participants in the Charity Shoot for their support. Events like these highlight the power of local partnerships in improving care for residents in regional communities.
