Exposure Sites Update – 22 September

EXPOSURE SITES UPDATE 22-9-21 From WDHS Chief Executive, Rohan Fitzgerald

Since we notified the community yesterday of exposure sites in the Southern Grampians region, additional work has been undertaken to determine where the positive cases may have visited in Hamilton. There are seven new Tier 2 exposure sites across Hamilton, these include Great Western Pizza, Bunnings Hamilton, LJ’s Pizza, Coles Hamilton, BP service station (corner Thompson and Lonsdale Streets).

Please see below the exposure site dates and times. Anyone who has visited these locations during the dates and times listed must get tested and isolate until they return a negative result. KFC and McDonalds drive thru are also affected, and have been listed as Tier 2 exposure sites for staff working on shift during the exposure periods. There is no requirement for customers at KFC and McDonalds to self-isolate and test at this stage, as the positive case remained in their vehicle at all times.

The community response to getting tested has been tremendous and yesterday we had 66 people attend the WDHS Drive-thru. Test results are coming through and at this stage all of the results returned so far have been negative.People who have attended Tier 1 sites must remain in quarantine for 14 days.

The Victorian Department of Health will tell you when you can leave quarantine. If you are self-isolating and need support, please contact WDHS Helping Hands on 1800 943 131. Financial support is also available for the local community through the BigHearts@WDHS staff giving program. To access this service, please contact St Vincent de Paul Welfare on 03 5571 9859.
