Chair-based exercise classes are held at the Merino Community Health Centre every Thursday at 10:30am. They last for approximately one hour.
Every session includes a warm-up, cardio and strength exercises, and a cool down. The program is based upon guidelines from Arthritis Victoria, Tai Chi and Active Ageing principles. Each participant’s blood pressure and weight is checked at each session.
Morning tea and socialising is available from 10.00am prior to the commencement of the exercise class.
All participants must meet with the Program Coordinator to discuss any health issues prior to commencing a class. For further information or to make an appointment to meet with the Program Coordinator contact reception.
A referral is not required.
